It’s pretty simple really .. If you double your bet every time you win , you can’t lose ..right??

WRONG ! At some point in someone’s roulette days they have this ‘epiphany’, and although it seems to make sense. It really is a road to nowhere.

They figure that sooner or later they have to win. This system has a name and is called the Martingale system and it has been around for years. It has also ruined MANY players.

If you do the maths it will get out of hand very quickly .. let’s take a simple example:

10 – 20 – 40 – 80 – 160 – 320 – 640 – 1280 – 2560 …..

As you can see after only eight losses you are now having to bet 2560 to win 10 !!

This doesn’t compute to anyone at all. So even if you have the guts to bet that much to win 10, it may lose again, and now you are betting 5120, YIKES.

I have worked all over the world in many Casinos over 20 years, so I can tell you that 10 in a row comes in more often than you think, I have seen 18- 20 in a row in extreme cases and after 15 if you actually are crazy enough to keep going you would be betting almost a staggering 164,000.

So if it ever crosses your mind, maybe you should think again
